About Us
Apex Medical Device Design LLC, is a startup, research-based cosmeceutical company contributing to beauty and health of black hair. Apex is a women-owned, pre-seed company founded in 2016 by our inventor Dr. Nedaa Al Jasim who is driven by passion for research and instinct for innovation. Our co-inventor, a talented young chemical engineer Noor Ahmed, contributed to the invention.
We believe in the power of biological science to address the most challenging question of our time: how our body make a wide range of hair types and textures? We are deciphering the complex biology of cell receptors and mediators that underlies hair types with the goal of tackling this real-world problem by developing a transformative solution that people will love.
We will support our invention with scientific journal articles and are setting the stage for further scientific progress in this field by using AI; computer-aided target identification of the binding site in the hair follicle and target molecular interactions with herbal small molecules.
Our Story
In the world of biologic science, we have reached to a place no other scientist have ever thought of. we are the pioneers!
It all begins with a vision for how things could be different when a medical doctor shifts the research strategy on this topic from the hair shaft into the follicle; then follows the footsteps of pharmaceutical research by identifying a “mechanism of action” that forms the foundation of pharma product inventions.
Our decade-long intellectual journey required the whole lot of knowledge and persistence to turn it into a real contribution that revolutionize black hair beauty and health

Our achievements includes idea generation; design thinking; prototype doing; patent filing and successfully responding to the PCT “International Search Report and Written Opinion”, and we are very close to grant of our U.S. patent.

The company founder is Dr. Nedaa Al Jasim, M.D. owning multiple patents for aesthetic medical device, cosmeceutical products, and others. Her last invention is a process for nanoemulsification of herbal oils to produce CurlRelax.
The process co-inventor is Noor Ahmed, a dedicated talented young chemical engineer.
